Subject Matter Expertise

Why Work With Me?

I am a subject matter expert in post-separation abuse, coercive control, and trauma recovery, specializing in how these issues intersect with family court, coercive control, technology-facilitated abuse, and systemic responses across legal, medical, and social service sectors. My work is informed by research, program development, direct service experience, and policy advocacy—making me a valuable resource for advocates, organizations, and professionals who want to deepen their understanding, enhance their programs, and improve service delivery for trauma-impacted individuals.

While I provide coaching, consulting, program development, and training, I do not serve as an expert witness in court cases. Please do not inquire about legal testimony.

How My Expertise Can Support Your Work

I provide high-impact solutions for individuals and organizations seeking to improve their responses to post-separation abuse, coercive control, and trauma recovery. Whether you’re an advocate, a service provider, or an organization seeking grant-funded initiatives, I bring a unique combination of practical experience, research-backed strategies, and innovative programming to the table.

✔ Research & Thought Leadership

Original Frameworks & Concepts

  • Coined the term Instabuse™ to describe electronic harassment by a co-parent and how technology enables post-separation coercive control.
  • Developed resilience-based recovery models for domestic abuse survivors.
  • Uncovered links between behaviors mislabeled as parental alienation and PTSD symptoms, advocating for updated family court policies that reflect modern abuse tactics.
  • Submitted an abstract for the ISTSS (International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies) Annual Meeting, exploring trauma literacy as a critical component of cultural competency in professional practice.
  • Submitted an abstract for the annual Central Virginia Counselor Development Symposium, for Liberty University, to address how trauma literacy should be covered as part of mandatory Multicultural Competence based on peer-reviewed notions of culture.

Expert Testimony & Policy Advocacy

  • Provided expert testimony before a multi-agency panel at the New York State Interagency Listening Policy Session in Brooklyn on trauma, technology, and family court failures.
  • Advocate for policy reforms that recognize the modern dynamics of coercive control and prevent system-enabled re-traumatization of survivors.

✔ Coaching & Consulting for Advocates & Professionals

I offer coaching and professional development for individuals, organizations, and institutions seeking to improve trauma response, strengthen cultural awareness, and confront non-physical abuse in both digital and interpersonal environments.

  • Instabuse™ Education & Coaching – Coaching for professionals, advocates, and survivor-serving organizations to better understand tech-facilitated abuse, custody-based harassment, digital reputation attacks, and the long-term trauma that results from sustained online and legal exposure and chronic stress. This service is delivered in a format that balances clinical insight with lived experience.
  • Workplace Trauma-Informed Communication & Cultural Competence – Coaching for teams, managers, and organizations grounded in an emerging framework that views trauma responses through the lens of cultural identity—an evolving theory I bring to the table, based on peer-reviewed research, to help reframe how trauma survivors navigate professional environments and the world at large. This approach invites a deeper awareness of how some urgency, tone, demands, or public reprimands may be interpreted as unsafe by those with trauma histories, and provides tools for engaging in conflict, collaboration, and leadership with trauma-informed care and clarity.
  • Youth Bullying & Digital Abuse Prevention – Coaching and training for educators, youth advocates, and community leaders focused on understanding how early experiences with bullying—especially sustained or public humiliation—can lead to long-term behavioral shutdown, self-isolation, and internalized fear of visibility. This work supports the development of healthy emotional responses in young people while equipping adults to recognize when silence or withdrawal is a trauma response, not just a discipline issue—preventing future struggles with mental health, suicidal ideation, and social disengagement.
